Fellowship and Care is a ministry that looks for ways to create relationships among our members and friends. We look to connect people in their interests and cares and concerns, often with liberal attention given to good food! We further seek to minister to those facing times of loss, trial and transition--including hospitalization-- through love, support, and action.

Why do we need the church?

"Question: 'I am a Christian, but I don’t see the need of going to church. I can worship God when I am out in the woods enjoying the beauty of His creation or when I am fishing on the lake. Friends have told me that I need to go to church. Why?'"

It includes his take on this passage from Hebrews 10:19-25

[19]Therefore, brethren, since we have confidence to enter the sanctuary by the blood of Jesus, [20] by the new and living way which he opened for us through the curtain, that is, through his flesh, [21] and since we have a great priest over the house of God, [22] let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, with our hearts sprinkled clean from an evil conscience and our bodies washed with pure water. [23] Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for he who promised is faithful; [24] and let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, [25] not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near.

Fellowship with each other is part of our fellowship with God

1John 1:3-7

[3] that which we have seen and heard we proclaim also to you, so that you may have fellowship with us; and our fellowship is with the Father and with his Son Jesus Christ. [4] And we are writing this that our joy may be complete. [5] This is the message we have heard from him and proclaim to you, that God is light and in him is no darkness at all. [6] If we say we have fellowship with him while we walk in darkness, we lie and do not live according to the truth; [7] but if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus his Son cleanses us from all sin.
